This website has been independently set up by students of Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche and Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche in response to the misinformation, rumors and innuendo on Social Media. The portrayal of Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, and the Shambhala community in the media runs contrary to our own direct experience. We seek to correct and clarify the false, incomplete or misleading narratives about Shambhala available through social and mainstream media.

This initiative has not been directly or indirectly initiated, suggested or approved by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, the Shambhala Board of Directors, or any other group, or individual leader, within the Shambhala organization.

Neither our oaths nor our loyalty have ever explicitly or implicitly required or suggested an expectation to cover up or minimize wrongdoing, whether committed by the Sakyong or anyone else in the Shambhala mandala. If we had witnessed wrongdoing, we would say so. This website is meant solely to clarify the narrative in social media and testify to our own individual experiences at the Kalapa Court, and in Shambhala.
